Prompt refreshes control how often Serpy updates your prompt results. When prompts refresh, Serpy checks the latest AI answers and updates your visibility, mentions, competitors, citations, and sources.

What prompt refreshes are for

Prompt refreshes help you track changes over time. AI answers can change as models update, new content appears, sources shift, and competitors publish new pages. Refreshing prompts helps you understand whether your brand visibility is improving, declining, or staying the same.

How often prompts refresh

Your refresh schedule depends on your plan. Some plans refresh prompts more often than others. For example, your prompts may refresh:
  • daily
  • weekly
  • on another schedule included with your plan
You can review your plan limits and refresh schedule in your account usage settings.

Last run

Last run shows when the prompt group was last updated. Use this to understand how fresh the current results are. If the last run was recent, the data reflects the latest available refresh.

Next run

Next run shows when Serpy expects to update the prompt group again. This helps you know when to check back for new results. If a prompt group is still processing, results may continue updating until the run is complete.

Why results can change

Prompt results may change over time because AI answers are not fixed. Changes can happen when:
  • your website publishes new content
  • competitors publish new content
  • important sources change
  • AI platforms update their answers
  • citations shift
  • your brand appears in more third-party sources
This is why tracking trends over time is more useful than only checking one result once. Check prompt groups after each refresh. A simple workflow is:
  1. Review the last run and next run.
  2. Check visibility changes.
  3. Review new or missing brand mentions.
  4. Look for competitor changes.
  5. Review sources and citations.
  6. Act on new recommendations.

Tips

Do not judge performance from one refresh alone. Look for patterns over time. Use refreshes to see whether content and source improvements are helping. If a prompt group is still processing, wait for the run to finish before reviewing the final results. Check your plan if you need more frequent refreshes.
