Editing and optimization tools help you improve content directly inside the editor. Use them to rewrite selected text, adjust tone, improve clarity, and apply suggested improvements.

Text editing actions

When you select text, Serpy may show editing actions. These can help you quickly improve a sentence, paragraph, or section. Available actions may include:
  • Serpy
  • Rephrase
  • Shorten
  • Expand
  • Fix tone
These tools are useful when a section needs improvement but you do not want to rewrite it manually.

Serpy

Use Serpy when you want a broader improvement to selected text. This can help make the section clearer, stronger, or more useful.

Rephrase

Use Rephrase when the idea is right, but the wording needs to change. This is useful for improving flow, removing awkward phrasing, or making a sentence sound more natural.

Shorten

Use Shorten when a section feels too long or repetitive. This helps make content more concise.

Expand

Use Expand when a section needs more detail. This is useful when an idea is underdeveloped or needs a clearer explanation.

Fix tone

Use Fix tone when the content does not sound quite right. This can help make text more consistent with the article, brand, or selected voice.

Reviewing edits

When Serpy suggests an edit, review it before keeping it. Do not accept changes automatically. Check that the edit is accurate, useful, and still sounds like your brand.

Serpy Optimize

Serpy Optimize reviews the article and suggests improvements across the content. Instead of changing everything automatically, you can review suggested edits and decide what to apply. Use Serpy Optimize when you want a broader improvement pass before publishing.

Article edits usage

Some editing tools use article edits usage. This usage is specific to the article you are working on. If the article reaches its usage limit, certain editing actions may no longer be available for that article. Use editing tools after you have read the article yourself. A simple workflow is:
  1. Manually review the article.
  2. Select sections that need improvement.
  3. Use Rephrase, Shorten, Expand, or Fix tone where helpful.
  4. Use Serpy Optimize for a broader review.
  5. Accept only the changes that improve the article.
  6. Rescan the content score.

Tips

Use editing tools to improve your draft, not replace your judgment. Review every suggested change. Use Shorten for repetitive sections. Use Expand for thin sections. Use Serpy Optimize near the end of your editing process.
