Create From Scratch lets you start a new article with more control. Use it when you want a blank editor, but still want Serpy to provide helpful research and writing ideas.

What Create From Scratch is for

Create From Scratch is useful when you already know what you want to write, but still want guidance. Instead of generating a full outline first, Serpy helps you start with:
  • a target keyword
  • suggested title ideas
  • suggested headings
  • questions
  • keywords
  • competitors
  • writing ideas
This gives you a starting point without forcing you into a full generated article.

Why a keyword is still required

Even when creating from scratch, Serpy asks for one target keyword. The keyword helps Serpy understand the topic and provide useful writing guidance. Without a keyword, Serpy would not know what research, questions, or keyword ideas to prepare.

What appears in the editor

When you create from scratch, the editor may include placeholder guidance. This can include:
  • a suggested article title
  • suggested headings
  • keyword brief ideas
  • questions to answer
  • related keywords
  • competitors
  • heading ideas
These are there to help you start faster. You can replace them with your own writing.

Placeholder text

Placeholder text is not final content. It is there as a guide. When you start typing, you can replace the placeholder with your own title, headings, and body content. Use it as a starting point, not something you need to keep.

Keyword brief

The keyword brief gives you a quick view of useful information for the article. It may include:
  • target keyword
  • suggested word count
  • related keywords
  • questions
  • competitor ideas
Use this to understand what the article may need to cover.

Ideas in the Content Score panel

Create From Scratch can also populate idea sections in the Content Score panel. These may include:
  • questions
  • keywords
  • competitors
  • headings
Use these ideas while writing to make sure the article covers the topic properly.

When to use Create From Scratch

Use Create From Scratch when:
  • you want to write manually
  • you already know the angle
  • you do not want a full generated article
  • you want light research support
  • you want Serpy’s optimization tools while writing
A simple workflow is:
  1. Choose Create From Scratch.
  2. Enter one target keyword.
  3. Choose the country.
  4. Open the editor.
  5. Review the keyword brief.
  6. Replace placeholder text with your own writing.
  7. Use the Content Score panel for ideas.
  8. Optimize before publishing.

Tips

Use one clear keyword. Treat placeholders as guidance, not final content. Use the questions and keyword ideas while writing. Dismiss the keyword brief when you no longer need it. Use Create From Scratch when you want more manual control.
