Once an article is ready, you can publish, schedule, export, or download it. The available options may depend on whether your CMS is connected.

Publishing to a CMS

If your website has a CMS connected, you can publish directly from the Content Editor. The publish button will match the CMS connected to your website. For example, if WordPress is connected, you can publish to WordPress. Before publishing, review:
  • article content
  • metadata
  • slug
  • internal links
  • images
  • formatting

Scheduling content

Scheduling lets you choose a future date for content. Scheduled content can appear in your content calendar so you can plan upcoming publishing activity. Use scheduling when you want to prepare content ahead of time.

Exporting content

If no CMS is connected, you can export the article. Exporting is useful when you want to copy the article into another platform manually. Depending on your options, export may include formats such as HTML, markdown, or document-style downloads.

Downloading content

Download lets you save a version of the article outside Serpy. Use this when you want a local copy, a review file, or a version to share.

If publishing fails

If publishing does not work, Serpy will show an error message. Common reasons include:
  • CMS connection issue
  • missing permissions
  • expired connection
  • required fields missing
  • unsupported formatting
  • image issue
If this happens, review the message, check your integration settings, and try again. Before publishing or exporting:
  1. Read the full article.
  2. Check metadata.
  3. Review the content score.
  4. Check images.
  5. Confirm formatting.
  6. Publish, schedule, export, or download.

Tips

Connect your CMS if you want direct publishing. Use scheduling if you plan content in advance. Export manually if your CMS is not connected. Always review the published page after sending content to your website. Check images and formatting after publishing.
