Recommendation counts show how many open recommendations are currently available. They help you quickly see where new opportunities exist and whether your list is growing or shrinking.

What recommendation counts mean

Recommendation counts show the number of recommendations that still need attention. You may see counts for:
  • total recommendations
  • Content to Create recommendations
  • Sources to Get Listed On recommendations
These counts update as new recommendations are found, dismissed, or acted on.

Why counts change

Recommendation counts can change when:
  • a prompt group finishes running
  • new prompt data is available
  • new content recommendations are found
  • new source recommendations are found
  • you create content from a recommendation
  • you dismiss a recommendation
  • a recommendation is no longer relevant
This helps keep the list focused on active opportunities.

New recommendations

When Serpy finds new recommendations, you may see a “new recommendations” count. This helps you quickly identify what changed since your last review. Use this to spot fresh opportunities without reviewing the full list every time.

Content recommendation counts

Content recommendation counts show how many content opportunities are still open. When you create content from a recommendation, the count may decrease because that recommendation has been acted on. If new prompt results reveal more content gaps, the count may increase again.

Source recommendation counts

Source recommendation counts show how many source opportunities are still open. These may change as new prompt groups run and Serpy finds more sources where your brand may need stronger presence. If you dismiss a source recommendation, it is removed from the active count. You may see recommendation counts in the sidebar. These help you notice when new opportunities are available without opening the Recommendations page. Use them as a quick reminder that there may be actions waiting. Use counts as a quick status check. A simple workflow is:
  1. Check the total recommendation count.
  2. Review any new recommendations.
  3. Act on the most important ones.
  4. Dismiss anything irrelevant.
  5. Check again after prompt groups refresh.

Tips

A higher count does not always mean something is wrong. It may simply mean Serpy found more opportunities. Focus on quality, not clearing every item. Use counts to prioritize, but review each recommendation before taking action. Dismiss irrelevant recommendations so your counts stay meaningful.
