# Creating New Content

Creating new content starts the content workflow in Serpy.

You can create content from Content Hub or from other areas such as recommendations, prompt groups, keyword research, topical clusters, and content discovery.

## Where content can start

Content can be created from several places in Serpy.

Common starting points include:

* Content Hub
* Recommendations
* AI Visibility prompts
* Strategy keywords
* Topical clusters
* Keyword Research
* Content Discovery scans
* Page Targeting

Each starting point gives Serpy different context for the outline.

For example, content created from a prompt may use that prompt as the main angle, while content created from a topical cluster may include a primary keyword and related secondary keywords.

## Creating content from Content Hub

To create content from Content Hub:

1. Open Content Hub.
2. Click Create Content.
3. Enter one target keyword.
4. Choose the country you want to optimize for.
5. Choose a content type.
6. Choose a custom voice if available.
7. Add custom instructions if needed.
8. Create the outline.

## Target keyword

The target keyword tells Serpy what the content should focus on.

Use one clear keyword or topic.

Examples:

* SEO consultants in Toronto
* best CRM for small businesses
* ecommerce SEO checklist
* project management tools for agencies

Avoid entering multiple unrelated keywords. One focused keyword usually creates a better outline.

## Country

The country helps Serpy understand the market you want to optimize for.

Choose the country where your target audience is located.

Different countries can have different search results, competitors, terminology, and content expectations.

## Content type

Content type tells Serpy what kind of page or article you want to create.

Examples include:

* Custom Standard Post
* LLM Optimized Article
* Listicle
* How-To Guide
* Comparison Article
* Review
* Location Page
* Service Page
* Product Page

Choose the type that best matches the search intent and purpose of the content.

## Custom Voice

Custom Voice lets you write in a saved brand or personal writing style.

If you have a default Custom Voice, Serpy can use it automatically.

If you do not want to use a custom voice, choose Serpy as the default writing style.

## Custom instructions

Custom instructions let you give extra direction for one specific article.

Use them when you want to include or avoid something specific.

Examples:

* Mention our Shopify SEO service.
* Do not mention pricing.
* Write for small business owners.
* Focus on Toronto-based companies.
* Include examples for SaaS brands.

## What happens after you create an outline

After you create an outline, Serpy prepares a content plan.

You can review the outline before generating the full article.

This gives you a chance to check the angle, structure, sections, questions, and research before moving into the editor.

## Tips

Start with one clear keyword.

Choose the country that matches your audience.

Pick the content type that matches the intent.

Use custom instructions when the article needs extra direction.

Always review the outline before generating the article.
